PAPANUI MEMORIAL LIBRARY.

THE ANNUAL MEETING^ The annual meeting of the Papanui Memorial Library was held last eveaing, Mr E. C. Ayrey presiding. The secretary (Mr J. H. Reynolds) in his annual report stated that despite the difficulty of the times, the library had a successful year. At present there were 320 subscribers on the roll, and during the winter months the number reached 380. The balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed a credit balance of £59 0s 7d. Officers" for the ensuing year were appointed as follows:President, Mr E. C. Ayrey; vice-presi-dent, Mrs N. Barnett; secretary, Mr J. H. Reynolds; treasurer and librarian, Mrs T. Hall; auditor, Mr L. R. Austin; committee, Mrs Reynolds, Messrs J. Sturroek and J. M. McKechnie. -
