McLean, Jim and Norman, Mr and Mrs Melville. W. and A. Hcarn, and from Clissold street. FUNERAL OF MR L. BROWN. I The funeral of Mr L. Brown, Hornby, took place at tho Bromley cemetery on Tuesday. Mr Brown, who was well known in the Hornby district, was born in England in 1885 and 'came to New Zealand when he was 1G years of age. For the past 30 years he worked constantly at the City abattoir, and was particularly well-known at the Addir.gton market. Mr Brown is survived by Mrs Brown and by Jive children. Mr P. K. Lilly, of the Presbyterian Church, Hornby, conducted the service at the graveside. Tho bearers were Messrs*R. and A. Muir, and L. and E. de Thier. Wreaths wero sent by members of the family, Aunt Polly, Uncle Ted, Gladys, Les, Edward, and Katli, Lizzie and Dick, Albert and family, Rita, Fred and family, Mr and Mrs G McSaveney and family, Alex Muir and Willie, Mr and Mrs Denny and family, Mr and Mrs F.
