Obout £'5,100,000 at par} was left by Mr George Eastman, die 77-ycar-old founder of the Kodak Company, who shot himself at his home last March. Since a large part of the estate is bequeathed to educational and philanthropic institutions and is consequently exempt from taxation, the State will collect a tax of only £3OOO on the net taxable estate.
