Youngsters were prominent in the lij-sfc round ot' the "News of the World" £IOOO gelt' tournament at Moor Park (Hertfordshire), which is regarded as the professional championship. W. Peters defeated Abo Mitchell by one hole, after the ex-holder had missed a two-foot putt. Sidney Eainventher overwhelmed Percy Alliss 5 and 1. T. H. Cotton, playing in a downpour, won brilliantly at the 18th, almost holing his tec shot. A. H. Padgham (holder) beat J. Walker 5 and 4. B. F. James, assistant at Newport, beat George Gudd by one hole. George Duncan, in an exciting iinish, holed a 12-yard putt" to win after his young opponent, B. Dalby, had holed a 15-yard putt. R. A. Whitcornbe beat Edward Kay 3 and 2. CHRISTCHURCH LADIES' CLUfi.
