SCHOOL CRICKET COACHING. <i) Cricket for Schools: Its Organisation and Practice. By P. H. Kemp. With a foreword by Major A. H. Gem, organiser of Physical Education to the London County Council. Russell, (is 6d.)
The author of this booklet has lect«ved ou and coached cricket at the courses for London teachers, organised by the London County Council College of Physical Education. The book contains chapters on fielding, boAvling, baiting, and the organisation of practice matches. It is obviously written by a man who, as a result of years of experience, knows just what to stress and what never to mention in coaching the game to young boys. It is quite free of unnecessary technicalities, and any primary teacher following up the author's ideas is bound to £teer clear of the blunders which overenthusiasm may lead him into. A cheaper, paper-covered edition is published at 60, the chapters on organisation and training omitted. Boys will find this useful. k
