SCOTTISH SOCIETY'S CONCERT.

To raise funds /or the Burns Memorial Hall Fund, the Scottish Society of New Zealand (Incorporated) held a successful concert and dance in the Scottish Society's Hall, Manchester street, last night. Chief T. Gordon (chairman) was assisted by Chieftains R. M. Speirs, D. G. Dickson, and M. Shier. Mr E. Robertson acted as M.O. for the daneo and music for dancing was supplied by Mrs Creagh's orchestra. The interesting programme included numbers by the R.S.A. orchestra, with Mr H. G. Glaysher as leader, and items by ,the Pipe Band. Other contributors wore:—Messrs C. O'Hagan, K. Sharp, J. Wilson, J. North, and E. Dowell (songs) ; Mr J. Laurenson (recitation) ; Messrs Cole and Thompson (instrumental items) : Mr J. Richards (conjurer) ; Misses A. West, E. Sinclair, N. Dickson, M. Miller, J. Woods, and MrR Waller (songs) ; Miss Buchanan (dance) ; Misses J. and Jean McLnchlan, B. and J. Dickson (Irish reel) ; Misses B. Peddic, A. McKenzic. J. McLachlan, and B. Dickson (Highland reel nnd reel o' Tulloch). Miss A. Gibb wiii tho accompanist. The entertainment concluded with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
