SOMERSET FOR LONDON.
Thd Federal ' steamer Somerset, which has loaded Homewards to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, was to clear' Bluff yesterday for Ijondon, via Cape Horn, Montevideo, and Dakar. ISLAND FRUIT STEAMERS. The Kurotu, which arrived at Auckland from Nukualofa last Sunday night, left there again on Thursday for Newcastle and Sydney to load for Fiji. She is to leave Sydney for Suva on August 26th, and Suva for Auckland direct with Fiji fruit on September 7th. The Waipalii is scheduled to leave Auckland for Suva and Apia on September 3rd, and from Apia the vessel will proceed to Nukualofa to load Tongan fruit for Auckland. She will leave Nukualofa for Auckland direct on September 16th. TRANS-PACIFIC SERVICE. The following are the movements of the tTnion Company's cargo steamers in the trans-Pacific service: Waihemo—Left Auckland yesterday, due Napier August 21st, Wellington August 24th, Lvttelton August 26th, Dunedin August 27th, Bluff August 28th, Melbourne September 3rd. Sydney September Bth; thence Newcastle, Fiji, and Vancouver. Wairuna —Left Los Angeles August 15th. due Papeete August 30th, Aitutaki September 2nd, Atiu September 4th, JJarotonga September sth, Auckland September 13th, Wellington September 17th, Lyttelton September 20th, - Dunedin September 22nd, Melbourne September 29th. Adelaide October 3rd, Sydney October 7th. Waikawa—Leaves Vancouver September Ist for San Francisco direct. Hauraki—Left Sydney August 13th for Vancouver, via Fiji. Approximate forward loading dates at Pacific Coast ports, subject to alteration without notice, arp: Waikawa —Expected leaVL 1 Vancouver September Ist, San Francisco September 6th. Los. Waihemo—Expected leava Vancouver October 27th, San Francisco November 13th. Los Angeles November 15th: due Auckland December 10th; tbence Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin, Melbourne, an-1 Sydney. Wairuna—Expected leave Vancouver November 27th, San Francisco December loth, Los Angeles December, l.ith: due Auckland' January ]Qth; thence Wellington, Lvttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. On account of onion shipments, the Waikawa ('September) and Hauraki (October) make Vancouver the last loading port in British Columbia, proceeding thence direct to San Francisco.
