EMPLOYERS TO MEET ON THURSDAY.

TRAMWAY CONCESSIONS FOR SEPTEMBER.

The campaign, to be launched next month to find employment for boys and youths out of work will be advanced a big step on. Thursday next, at 8 p.m., when an important meeting of employers will be held in the Chamber of Commerce Kali. Tti® meeting has been called by the Chamber ol Commerce, the Canterbury Employers' Association, and by the chairman ol the Boys' Employment Committee ol the Chamber of Commerce (Mr T. N. Gibbs). At this meeting the full details of tho campaign will be outlined and an appeal will bo made to employers to guarantee the employment of a large number of boys. A message will be read from his Excellency the Governor-General, and it. is probable that a telephonic message from the Prime Minister (tho Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) will be broadcasted in th» meeting room. The Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.) will preside. Every effort is being made to make the conference a great success and to ensure a large and representative gathering. Offers of employment will be called for.
