POUND SCHEME. The vicar of Holy Trinity, the Rev. E. Hanna, has invited parishioners who desire to contribute to the Pound Scheme to bring their gifts to the church on Sunday evenings and leave them in the porch. Arrangements have been made for the collection of the gifts, which will be distributed during the following week from the Relief Committee's office in Canterbury street. Snow Thawing. yesterday's warm weather caused considerable thawing of the snow on the hills about the harbour. The heavy coating on Mt. Herbert was rapidly disappearing, and at nightfall only tho large area at the summit was still unbroken. Large waterfalls discharging a flood of muddy wator into the harbour indicated the rapidity of the thaw. Holy Trinity Church. Bißhop West-Watson delivered a confirmation address on the fellowship of the Christian life and on th* necessity for the observation of the confirmation vows. Special confirmation hymns were sung by the choir and congregation. A church parade of scouts and members of sports clubs will be hold next Sunday.
