SPANISH REVOLT FAILS.

Spain is pi-actically normal, after popular rejoicings over tbe failure ot the Monarchist revolt, one result of which has been to establish the ltepublie more firmly in power. Most of the Monarchist and Catholic newspapers in Spain have been suppressed, and arrests continue, including the late General Prirno de Rivera's two sons. Tbe Marquis d'Estiva], whose chalet at Seville was General San Jurgo's headquarters during tho latter's briel regime, t hnllingly escaped to Gibraltar after the mob had burned down the chalet. The Marquis and a friend motored to the coast, and were attempting to r*ach Gibraltar by a motor-boat, which broke down, whereupon the Marquis swam to British territory, where many officers ;m.phcated in the revolt are already hiding.
