PT7BXJO HOTT.OM. SEE THE STUDEBAKER COMMANDER BREAKING THE WORLD'S RECORD FOR 25,000 MILES: STUDEBAKER and Erskine owners should take advantage of the cinematographic film now being displayed at the Sydenham Pictures, showing the Studebaker Commander breaking the World's Record for 25,000 miles, being driven continuously by a relay of drivers in less than 23,000 minute's. This epoch-making feat shows the strength and stamina of the in-built quality of the Studebaker Car and speaks well for the modorn engineering genius. The film now being shown depicts the record from start to finish and all Motorists should see the Studebaker Team performing in this World's Record. The film also shows Studebaker's enormous Plant and the latest engineering principles in turning out the modern Motor-Car. This is one of the most interesting films of its kind that has been shown in New Zealand and is now on view for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at the Sydenham Pictures. Adams, Limited, also extend a cordial invitation to all interested Motorists to inspect the new Commander Free-Wheeling Brougham at their Showrooms. This Car is beautifully finished in Fawn, complete with 6 drum type wire wheels, upholstered in Bedford Cord, and all interior fittings finished in Butler's Antique Silver. STREET LAMPS OUT. MENT -WELCOMES REPORTS. CITIZEN'S ASKED TO ASSIST. IT is no* always realised that the Municipal Electricity Departmejt is dependent upon tlw iublio for information regarding defective street lights. Letters are not infrequently received, complaining that the writer has waited for ft considerable time :n the hope that a lamp would be attended to, whereas, had it been reported on the first day it was noticed to be out, it would have l.een immediately replaced, and both the Department and tho public better served. Some people feel, and the feeling is doubt-fe.-s prompted by consideration for the Department, that in reporting a street lamp out they are making a complaint. This is quite a wrong impression. The lamps have a limited life. There are now approximately 3Cfu erected in different, parts of the' Cit'v, and a certain number continually require replacing. It is a rogular part, of the maintenance work of the Department, and any information regarding defective street lamps is welcomed as valuable co-operation on the part of the person reporting it. The value of any information is dependont upon the accuracy with which tho exact location of the lumn is described. A 'phone message, or preferably, a post-card, will always receive immediate- attention. Eveiyouc who reports promptly a de/ectire street lamp will be renderins a service to tho community, and the public is hereby irvitcd to give such assistance whenever pos-' si'-le.
