LYTTELTON NEWS.

_— HAUL OUR LIGHT THEATRE.

Warner Buster and Edmund Lowe, two of the most- popular stars on the talking screen, will appear together at the Harbour Light Theatre this afternoon and evening in tbo story of O. Henry's romantic bad-man "The Cisco Kid." It is a story of love and adventure on tho Mexican border. The supporting programme includes a fourreel drani'a, two editions of Fox News and a further chapter of "Fingerprints. " Skl-ing on Mt. Herbert. Ski-ers who have visited Mt. Herbert during the past two days report that the snow is in better condition than at any time this season and is likely to remain so for many days. Given a fine day to-morrow many hundreds of people arc expected to take part in the sport, the fact that Diamond Harbour is only a little over half an hour away from the City by railway and launch, as well as the low cost, appealing to many. That the state of the weather can be judged with certainty before tho trippers leave Cbristchurch also has a bearing on the popularity of Mt.. Herbert for snow sports. A special train, stopping at intermediate stations, will leave Christchurch for livttelton at 8.0 a.m. to-mort row, and the usual train will leave at 9.30 a.m. Both will connect with launches for Diamond Harbour.
