Eailway Excursion to Arthur's Pass. Eailway Excursion to Timaru. Eailway "Mystery Hike." FUNERAL OF MR H. HERRON. ♦ The funeral of Mr H. Herron of South New Brighton, was a lengthy one, there being many members of the Eailway service, Friendly Societies, relatives and friends in attendance. The service at the house and at the graveside was conducted by Mr K. E. England. Wreaths were forwarded from his wife and children, parents, brothers and fami- j lies, aunts and uncles, Mona and Eric, Mr and Mrs Buckley, Mr and Mrs Chappie and Mr Larden, Mr and Mrs T. Cook and family, Mr and Mrs Cunningham, officers and brethren of the New Brighton Lodge of the E.A.0.8. Ye Petitor Lodge, Canterbury Provincial Grand Lodge, members of the Christchurch and Addington railway staffs, Canterbury branch of the A.S.E.S. The bearers were Messrs C. W. Winder, A. E. Stevens, G. H. ColVille, E. V. Aitken, I W. H. McLay, and D. C. Thomas, of the Christchurch goods staff.
