SHIPPING NOTES. The Orepuki, which put into liyttelton on Thursday night for shelter, resumed her voyage to E-unedin at 11.25 p.m. on Saturday. The Storm is to be dispatched to-day for ■Wellington and Wanganui. The Alexander is now due hero to-morrow from Tarakohe, and will load for Nelson, Mapua, Morueka, Westport, and Oreymouth. The John is to arrive here to-morrow from Timaru. She is to take in cargo for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Waikato. ... . The Kaitoke is to complete loading here to-day for Auckland, and is to soil for that port direct. The Ruahine is to leave Lyttelton to-day for New Plymouth to complete discharge and to commence loading. The Gale was due last night from Wellington, and is to sail to-day with cargo for Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Wingatui is timed to arrive here tomorrow from Auckland, Portland, and Wei- . lington, and is to Bail in the evening for Dunedin and Timaru. The Totara is due here on Friday from Timaru to load for New Plymouth. The Waikouaiti is expected here on Thursday from Timaru to discharge cargo from Newcastle, Sydney, and Hobart. The Opihi is an expected arrival on Friday from Westport with coal. She sails later for Dunedin, and is due'back, via Oamaru and Timaru, on August 17th, to load for Nelson and New Plymouth. The Kini is to arrive here on Wednesday from Gisborne io complete discharge of coal from Westport. . . . . . The tanker New Zealand Is reported to have left San Pedro on July 21st for Sydney. Melbourne, and New Zealand. After discharging a cargo of ?.* Auckland, New Plymouth, and Wanganui, the Bank Line motor-ship Forresbank left Wanganui on Tuesday for Queensland, to load raw sugar for Montreal. The Kannl. from Melbourne, w. to Napier on Saturday afternoon. In 1908 the Kimu. was purchased by the Northern Company and efte/being refitted and altered she was commissioned in the west coast trade. For a number of yeara she was engaged in the passenger and cargo service from Onehunga to Raglan, Kawhia, and Wanganut. The passenger service to those ports was eventually abandoned and the Rimu was replaced on the west coast by motor-vessels carrying cargo only.

THE CANADIAN CONQUEROR. The Canadian Conqueror, which is due at Auckland to-day from Montreal, will at Bluff to load before proceeding from New Zealand to Australia. THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER. Canadian National Steamships have rB- - advice that the Canadian Challenger, which left Dunedin on May 14th) via Australia, reached New York on July 21st, Boston on July 23rd, Quebec on July 80th, and Montreal on August 2nd. THE PORT ALMA. The Commonwealth and Dominion liner Port Alma, from Brisbane, arrived at Auckland on Saturday to commence her Homeward loading. She is to leave Auckland today for Gisborne, and is due at Wellington on August 13th, leaving on the same day for Port Chalmers. TARANAKI AT NEW PLYMOUTH. The Shaw, Savill motor-ship Taranaki arrived at New Plymouth on Thursday morning from Mackay, Queensland, to commence her Homeward loading. She was to ,e « Te there again on Friday for Wanganul and Wellington, for further loading. She will leave Wellington on August 16th for Gisborne and Auckland, to complete, and is to clear Auckland finally on August 26th for London, Avonmouth, and Glasgow, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. _—__———— i SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
