HITLER'S AIMS.
POLITICS IN GERMANY. APPEAL BY PROFESSORS. FEARS OF A REVOLT REVIVED. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY EtiECTBIC TELEGRAPH —CCVIBIGUT.) (Eccoived July 27th, 7 p.m.) BEKLIN, July 27. Though they dislike some of his aims, 51 University professors have published a manifesto supporting Horr Adolpli Hitler's policy of fighting the influence of foreign races by the restriction of egoism in all fields and determination to deliver Germany from the materialistic shackles imposed by international finance. The professors expect Herr Hitler to purify public life and achieve tho salvation of the Germai people. The Hitlerites have made great preparations to ensure tho success of the meeting Herr Hitler is addressing today. Tho concentration of Hitler's storm detachments has led to the revival of fears of an attempted "putsch." The story goes that if the polling rosults, which will be known late on Sunday, show that the Hitlerites are likely to obtain 50 per cent, of tho votes, a revolt may be attempted during the early hours of Monday, with a view to making Herr Hitler Chancellor. The Keich Government, however, has issued a statement that if a "putsch" is attempted all forces will be used to defeat the adventure. Well-informed circles believo that General von Schleicher (Minister for Defence) will I order the Eeichswelir soldiers to shoot, and they will obey. The "Allgemeiue Zeitung" foresees a new Government under Herr von Papen, including representatives of the Hitlerites.
