WAITAKI OLD BOYS' ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING. (SI'KCIAT. TO THE PJ'.KSS.) OAAIARU, July 27. The annual meeting of the Waitaki Old Boys' Association was held tonight, and was attended by members of the executive council, branch delegates, and local old boys. Air. A. W. Afoss (president) occupied the chair. Air Moss reviewed tho association's activities during tho past year, and referred especially to the installation of the pipe-organ in ihe Hall of Memories at a cost of £.2770, on which tho committee was still £IOO short. Waitaki avenue had been widened and flanked by an avenue of poplars in memory of old Waitakians who foil in the Great War. He referred to'tho great loss suffered by the' death of Air E. P. Lee, and also of Mr T. A, , Alunro. . The jubilee celebrations had been fixed for May 13th, 14th, and 15th, 1933, and arrangements were being taken in hand by all branches to ensure the success of this anniversary. The following officers were elected:— Patron, Air F. Milner; president, Mr A. W. Moss;'vice-presidents, Mestrs R. H. Hill, E. C. Clowes, and Dr.. Hislop; auditor, Mr Corlett; executive council, Messrs F. Milner, A. W. Moss, W. Atkinson, A. J: Grave, C. J. Mollison, F. Jones, T. L. Roberts, M. K. McCulloch, 11. B. McDowell, and A. C. Piper. A recommendation was passed to the executive council that the amount' of the life membership fee be increased from £5 5s to £8 Bs, and that the funds received from this sburce should be invested in tho endowment fund.
