ALL NATIONS FAIR.
MAYOR ENTERTAINS EXECUTIVE.
The extent to which the proceeds of the recent All Nations Fair has assisted in relieving cases of hardship was referred to by the Mayor (Mr I). G. Sullivan, M.P.) on Saturday mornuigj when be entertained, members of the executive at morning tea. Since the conclusion of the fair practically all the depots of tho Citizens' Relief Association had been maintained, in the main, out of the procoeds of the fair, and in addition to that thousands of people in the City had been provided with coal and blankets, said tho Mayor. The men's camps wero being visited at intervals and the most urgent necessities of tho men wero being met. It must be a matter of great satisfaction to the members of the executive, added the Mayor, that their efforts had met with such signal success. Short speeches, thanking the Mayor and Mayoress and others, and expressing pleasure at the result of the fair wero made by Mr George Harper (chairman of the Citizens' Reliof Association), Bishop Brodie, Mrs Cecil Wood (chairman • of the women's executive), and Cr. J. W. Beanland (chairman of tho Works Committee of the City Council). Reference was also made to tho work done by Mrs Sullivan during tho progress of the fair, and to her works of charity for the City.
