Frederick Tovee, aged ob, of bt. John's, road, Barking, was working at the Chequers lane sub-station of the County of London Electric Supply Company when he touched a live wire which sent 19,000 volts through his body. Nobody expected to see him live, but, though badly burned, he is reported to be making satisfactory progress at the Oldchurch. Hospital, Bomford, Essex.
