CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The Management Committeo of tho Canterbury Hockey Association met last evening. Present —Messrs H. W. Rogers (chairman), W. H. Down, L. F. N. Ward, R. Wear, H. Snook, L. Sutherland, B. W. Rogers, F. Fullwood P- Berry, I. I>avey, G. Graham, and A. L. Graham. Tho North Otago Association wrote asking for a match in Ohristchurch this season. It was decided to accept the match for tho middle of August, a definite date to be arranged later. It was also agreed to arrange tho necessary billeting if possible. Mr R. Gracie was elected aR a member of the Selection Committeo in place of Mr S. Mr R. A. Campbell's resignation as a member of tho Emergency Committee was accepted, and Mr W. H. Down was appointed to the position. It was decided to place on record appreciation of Mr Campbell's services. . It was agreed to write to the Ilarowooa Club in reference to tho mnrking of the ground at Elmwood Park. Eighteen teams were entered for the schoolboys' competition, which was divided into three grades. ... . The 'Varsity junior A team gave notice of default in their match against Technical on Saturday next. e The Five-a-side Committee reported an entry of 53 teams. A special meeting of delegates will be held on June 22nd.
INTER-UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT. CANTERBURY COLLEGE TEAM. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of j this week, the annual inter-University hockey tournament is to bo held in Wellington. Teams from tho four colleges will be piesent, both ladies and men. The contest is mu on the lines of a knock-out competition, winners and losers playing off lor the Scddon fjlicli and tho wooden spoon respectively oe tho second day. From the teams corupctintf, <i -\'ew Zealand University representative team is selected which playa a Wellington representative team on tho third day. Now Zealand University hockey ' I'lues" aro awarded to all members of the Sow Zealand University team. Canterbury College won the men's trophy, the Seddon Stick, for the first time hi.-t year, and this year will field u solid side in defence of it.
