The funeral of the assassinated Premier, Mr K. Inukai, took place to-day in tho presence of 10,000 monrnera, -including representatives of the Emperor and Empress, many notables, and political ieaders ol every Party, who paid a united tribute to the departed statesman. ~,.". —a National flags on the Embassies and Legations were flown at half-mast. After the cremation of the body this evening, tho ashes will be deposited in. his native town. [The murder of Mr K Inukai, Premier of Japan, at Tokyo, on May 16th, was the most deliberate in Japan's long history of political assassinations. His residence was attacked by a group of 25 young naval and military officers. The aged statesman pleaded with his assailants not to shoot, but he was held by two officers, and at the word of command, was shot, two bullets entering his head. He died in hospital before midnight.]
