GRAND CONCERT.

The combined Guilds of St. John's Anglican Church held a grand concert in the schoolroom, Latimer square, last night, to raise funds for the St. Martins House of Help. There was a good attendance. The next concert is to be given at the Phillipstown Church Hall on May 31st. Musical items were given by Mrs H. Cordery, Misses Jean Ev,ans and H. Stephens. Mr Buckett's gymnasium girls gave displays of skipping dances, club-swinging, pyramidtouilding, dumb-bells, and tumbling tots. The following pupils of-Mr C. . Buckett also contributed: —Misses June Hammen and Jeau Bishop' (clown dance), Cyril Cox and Franck Smith (actobatic displayV Two short comedies, "Jjove Tangles" and "The Kest Cure," were presented by Enden Ball, May Woodley, France Hunter, Morris Gnnderson, • Alice Woodley, Inez Kent,.
