Appreciation of the new flashing light at Le Bon's Bay was expressed yesterday by masters and officers of vessels in port. "It is a wonderfully clear light, and can be seen from a very long distance," said one ships 0fl Thß light is of considerable assistance to vessels approaching LyHelton from the north, l n d was picked up by the ferry steamer Maori on Wednesday morning while still a long way up the coast. Ovrineto the weather being calm and clear the Gale was on au inside course, otherwise she would have sighted the light earlier. MAJESTIC AND BERENGARIA. Included in the list of vessels owned by th» Cunard Steam Ship Company which is •Atached to the present 'annual report is the name of the Majestic. The gross tonnage of thTun« is 56,621, but it is shown that the Cunard own 32/64U.5, or 28 310 tons. The entry is countered this year by the inclusion of the tonnage of the Berecgaria »« 26i 113 bein" 32/64tha of 52,226 tons.
