THEATRE ROYAL. "THE BLUE DANUBE." What many g6od judges .consider, is -v»lt« the best British talkie of its kind yet iewpned in Christchurch. is being presented at the Theatre Royal this week. The film is "The Blue Danube," the story of which has been written around the famous waits of the same name, the composition of Johann Strauss. Set in Hungary, "Tie Blue Danube" introduces some beautiful views of Budapest and the surrounding countryside, and tells a story of gipsy life in which JosephSchildkraut is superb as' the hero, and Dorothy Bouchier as the heroine, the' other star being BrigittSL Helm. The music of this great British production, is outstanding, notfiing like it having, previously been reproduced for the supplied principally by the Royal Hongariarf 'Tzigane Band, whose playing .of the famous waits and of the Hungarian Rhapsody . is something which will remain the standard by which'future, orchestral work done'for the talkies will be judged*
