II MATSON and CO. report the yavdinj; to comprise 3900 in this section. , Reviewing the market as a whole tho quality was very ordinary, with odd consignments of good prime quality here and there. The buJK of the- entry comprised ewes, with a very small percentage of wethers. In our opinion tho market showed a better tone for all classes, especially in respect to prime consignments. The competition of the export buyers wag keener than it has been for some time pdst. Practically all lots were cleared at auction. H. MATSON and CO. quote the following schedule:—Extra prime heavy wethers to 22s Id, prime heavy 16s 6d to 19b, medium prime 14s to 16s, ordinary wethers 12 s to 18s 6d, light or plain 9s to lis _ 6d, extra ■prime heavy ewe» to 19s 10d, prime heavy ewes 11b 6d to 14b, medium prime ewes Ss to lis, ordinary ewes 6s 6d to 8s 6d, aged and inferior ewes 4b 6d to 6s. . .
