LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
ENQUIRY INTO EXPENDITURE PROPOSED. (BKITISH OIMCIAt WIEELESS.) (Received May 12th, 5.G p.m.) RUGBY, May 11. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Sir John Simon, in _ the House of Commons, said the British Government had made no proposals for a specified reduction in expenditure on the League of Nations at the Council meeting on Monday, but hart proposed that a small expert committee should bo appointed to examine the whole question of League expenditure with the help of the Supervisory Committee, and to report to the Loagus Assembly in September.
