May 10th, 12.33 a.in) ' , SYfiNEY, May 9. \At'." the Stadium to-night, in a contest for the middle-weight championship and the Lord Beauchamp belt, Fred Hannaberry (list 31b) retained the title on a, foul in the tenth round against Bob Thornton (Hist 2!b). The contest was not inspiring, Thornton holding his own very well in spasmodic clashes. It yrill be recalled that Hannabcriy {.rcviously won the championship from Ambrose Palmor in the aame • manner. The crowd to-night was not at all satisfied he fouled, and indulged in 'vigorous hooting. The State light-weight championship was also decided. Bluey Jones out-pointed Billy Kelso in a ten-round contest.
