- —♦- ' AMATEUR TOURNEY IN AID OF MAYOR'S RELIEF FUND. The open amateur boxing tournament which is being promoted by the Chrlstchurch Sports Club, to assist the Mayor's Relief of Distress Fund, will be held in the Civic Thontro on Monday night. Tho club has been Very fortunate in obtaining the co-operation of all the most prominent local amateur boxers, and a really excellent programme will be provided. The entries include:— Percy Hawes, the ■well-known champion feather-weight, wno is one of the best amateur boxers in New Zealand to-day. George Wright, ex-amateur champion, who is now a promising professional bantamweight. C. Dasler, the Marlborough middle-weight champion.
