SITE OF THE NEW LIGHTHOUSE FOR BANKS PENINSULA.—An unattended flashing light similar to the one at Karori Rock, Cook Strait, is to be erected shortly on East Head at the entrance to Le Bon's Bay. At present there is no light between Akaroa Head, at the extreme south of the Peninsula, and Godley Head, on the north.
