CONSENT TO RAISE £250,816
GIVEN. (PRXS3 ASSOCIATION TEI.EGRAiI.) WELLINGTON, March 18. At a meeting of the Local Government Loans Board, forty-four applications for loans, totalling £265,906 weie dealt with. Loans amounting to £250,816 were sanctioned, including £181,400 for renewals, £51,975 for new loans, £10,500 loans for restoration of earthquake damage, £4500 for unemployment, and £2441 unexpended balance of previous loans was authorised to ho used for other purposes. The balance, £15,090. of the amounts submitted, was cither declined or referred back to the local authorities concerned further consideration.
