OVER £16,000 COLLECTED YESTERDAY. With two full days and one half day to elapse before the imposition of tbo 10 per cent, penalty on rates linpaid be/ore 4 p.m. on March 22nd, the amount of City rates collected to date is now over 54 per cent, of the total amount levied. 1 The amount collected yesterday was about £16,600, wfcich Is twiefc as great as the highest amount collected in any one day this year.
