HOME ECONOMICS ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report of the Home Economics Association, which will be presented at the annual meeting tonight, states that the past year lias been most successful and that the membership had increased. With a view to helping housewives to meet the times on incomes, the committee, on the suggestion of Miss L. Gihnbur, had started monthly competitions till all kinds of articles made out of used or small nieces of new material, and tiiis had proved so successful thai it has been decided to continue it this year. Gloves, humpties, boxes, tea cosies, covers —all beautifully made,-were among some of the numerous articles exhibited. All the demonstrations given seemed very much appreciated by the members and their friends. Cookery demonstrations continued to take first place, but house furnishing, music, and gardening had also been enjoyed. To all the demonstrators the committee and members tendered their thanks, also to the Press and ladv editors for their help; -to the Gas Company for the use of their demonstration room; to the Y.W.C.A. officials, and to all who helped in any way towards the success of the year's work.
