CONTROL OF LIQUOR.
REVISION IN AMERICA REJECTED. (trciTED PRESS association—by electbio TttKCKAPK—COPXBIGHT.) WASHINGTON. March 14. The House of Representatives voted by 227 to 187 to-day against taking up legislation designed to turn back the control of liquor to the States. The vote, putting members on record for the/first time for 12 years-oh Prohibition revision, was on whether to discharge the Judiciary Committee from jurisdiction oyer the Beck-Linr thicum resolution for the amendment of the 18th Amendment. The _ vote commanded by the anti-Prohibitionists was even larger than many of them expected. The success of the anti-Pro-hibitionists in securing a roll call is a considerable triumph for the Wets.
