LAND BOARD.
CASES CONSIDERED. The monthly meeting of the Canterbury Land Board was held in. the District Lands and Survey otfi.ee, Christchurch, on March Bth. Present: Messrs W. Stewart (chairman), B. P. Henderson, D. Stowell, T. Gee, and E. Macdonald. Altogether 122 cases were considered, of which six were applications for land and eight were applications for transfer. The following transfers were approved:—Section 11, Block XL, Tenga-wai-i-P. E. Austin to D. Smith. Section 81, Block XIII., Pareora S.D.—B. Butterworth to L. Gray. Section 142, Block IX.; Arowhenua S.D.—J. N. M. Bog'ers to C. D. Bums. The following applications for land were approved:—lsland in Waitaki Biver—-Mrs M. E. Pavletich, year to year tenancy. Part Waitohi river-bed fronting E.S. 12,759, 12,878, 12,325, and Part 12,324, Block IV., Waikari S.D W. Bamford, year to year tenancy. Sections 84-87, Glqnavy Township—A. S. Williams, year to year tenancy. The following surrender was accepted:—Sections 37 and 51-57, Chertsey Township—S. B. W. Symister.
