REGENT THEATRE.
"DEVOTION." "Devotion," Ann Harding's new picture. which is being screened at tho Regent this week, is a pleasing English comedy drama of the better type. Adapted i'uincla Wynne's engaging stoiy, "A Jjittlc Flat in tho Temple," it tell 3 ot a girl's devotion to a young lawyer whicb leads her, though tlm Cinderella of her family, to disguise herself as a governoLs for his son. There is splendid English dialogue in the film, wbich is faithfully acted, by Mias Harding and by Leslie Howard, an English actor of great charm and ability. Such a story naturally presents many interesting situations, all of wb'ich arc handled easily and effectively. Besides an excellent "short" showing the strokes of Johnny Weismuller, the swimmer, there is really a first-claas burlesque of the old-typo Hollywood drama, played by some of the leading actors and actresses of tho day as members of the Masquers' Club. This is capital fun throughout, and oTxds with a smashing climax as the hero approaches the ciicular saw in the Old Mill
