VOLUNTEERS IN CAMP.
BIVOUAC AT BURNHAM. Under Major J. W. Dow, N.Z.K., the first bivouac of the territorial forces since they were reconstructed on a voluntary basis was opened at Burn* ham Camp on Saturday afternoon. About 200 men will be in camp' iintil the end of this week. [ Four units are encamped—the Southern Depot of Engineers, the Corps of Signals, the New Zealand Medical Corps, and the Army Service Corps. Captain J. I. Brooke N.Z.S.C., is ,camp adjutant. Lieutenant H. J. Cujnmms is in command of the Corps of Signals, Captain E. W. Smith, of the A.S.C., and Major A. C. McKillop, of the N.Z.M.C. The camp was- visited yesterday by members of the Old Comrades' . Association, connected with the different units, who took part in the morninjE church parade. In the afternoon an inter-unit sports meeting was held. Training in,field work will begin i* earnest this morning. . To-morrow, Major-General W. H. L. Sinclair-Bur-gess will make an inspection. The Officer Commanding the Southern', Command. Lieutenant-Colonel 6. C. P • Nicholls, will inspect the field work"on Thursday.
