Pope, and L. H. Field. Mr Langbem, District Public Worts Engineer, -wrote asking the the surveying completed from Teddington to link up with Charteris Bay deviation for the marine drive. The clerk stated that the chairman and, himself, in company "with the District Engineer, had visited the landowners, Messrs Orton Bradley, I*. A. Anderson, and S. M. Blatchford, through whose property the road will ps*ss, and that they are willnig to give the Council the land if the Council will -do the fencing. That agreed upon, .and the workmen doing the work. . . The Council decided to add 10 ' per cent, cn all rates outstanding after February 27th. The Council resolved that, owing to so many applications being' made to erect cottages on the foreshore, to grant no further permission, and to send a notice to all the owners having buildings on the foreshore to remove the buildings withm a month. The financial' statement showed a debit balance at the bank amounting-to £1973; assets £2530. Accounts passed for payment amounted to £228 2s 2d.
