JOHN'S (Newfoundland), February 11. Dissatisfied with an assurance bj' the Secretary of State that the Government was doing; all that was possible to alleviate' distress, several hundred unemployed men to-day demanded an audience with the Prime Minister (Sir K. A. Squires). Tlie.y forced their way into the Government Buildings antf smashed the glass doors of the Council Chamber where the .Executive Council was meeting. As the crowd rushed forward, the Prime Minister received a blow 011 the face, and one ' of his hands was wronched. Some of the demonstrators mounted the Council table, and others flung articles about the room. The mob dispersed when orders to issue a dole were given.
