As the result of some shingle falling upon him while he was working in a swingle pit, Herbert Hydes, a middleaged man, an employee of the Anaina Road Board, who lives in the Mayfield district, was admitted to the As'iburton Public Hospital, yesterday :.;'t<!rnoon, suffering from a crushed left foot. Several of the smaller boiv?s oi? the foot were fractured. His condition is not serious. Magistrate's Court. A sitting of the Magistrate's Court was held yesterday, when Mr C. ft.
