The Neues Wiener Journal publishes a report of a strange case at Czernovitz, the capital of Bukovina, the former Austrian province, which belongs to Rumania. Joseph Schmidt, a teacher at a suburban elementary school, was being treated at the Czernovitz hospital, when he suddenly fell into a sort of coma. While the man was in this state, he mentioned the dates of the birthdays o£ all the physicians, and the names and illnesses of all the patients in one of the rooms in the hospital. He diagnosed his own illness in Latin, although he had never studied that language.
