Although for i some time pust the committee has been trying to find a suitable person to take his place, its efforts have so far been unsuccessful. A similar position exists with tbe Cub pack, which has been without a Cubruaster for a considerable time. The committee is meeting on Monday, February 15th, with a view to arranging for new officers. St. Saviour's Scout Camp. This group camped on Mr Mcßean's property by the Solwyn river from January 2nd to 11th. The camp was run strictly on the patrol system, which enabled many who had not been to camp before to obtain a practical experience of patrol methods. While camped there a cricket match was played with Mr Mcßean's team, who were entertained at the campfiro one evening. All enjoyed themselves, and hope to return there next year. The kindness of Mr and Mrs Mcßean was very much appreciated. North Beacli Scout Camp. The whole troop with tho exception of three boys went iDto camp at Omihi from January Bth to 22ud. A feature of the camp was pioneering work done by the four patrols, three bridges being erected. One bridge, 40ft long and 3ft Gin wide and 10ft high, of three spans, was constructed by the troop and completed by the Airedales. The Magpie Patrol erected a double lock bridge 14ft long and 3ft wide. The . Tho Peter Memorial Shield has been awarded to the Magpie Patrol, followed by the Seagulls, Airedales, and Moroporks in that order. The flagpole erected by tho camp was worthy of the Union Jack.
