YOUNG STOCK SHOW.
A meeting of the combined show committee of the Canterbury Rabbit Breeders' Association and the New Zealand Cat Club (Inc.) was held during this week at 153 Hereford street, Mr W. Wright, C.R.8.A., in the chair. It was reported that excellent entries had been received for the combined show of young stock to be held at the club's rooms, Hereford street, on Saturday afternoon and evening. A feature of tho show, it was stated, would bo an exhibition, during the evening, of Angora rabbit shearing. It is anticipated that great interest in rabbit breeding will be created by exhibits of the latest importations, in the form of tho new and valuable Sable rahbit. It is understood that some of 'the new arrivals have already littered, but it is too soon yet to learn how they are progressing Tho secretary of the New Zealand Cat Club reported that a total of 24 entries had been received for the kitten classes together with a number for the class for children's pets. The subcommittee in charge of the fancy dress parade arrangements reported that there was every likelihood of a good entry. The judges for the kitten and young rabbit classes were selected, and arrangements for tho veterinary examination of all entries before benching were annouKced and approved.
