A BOGUS STEWARD.
(Received February 11th, 11.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 11. Posing as chief steward of tho steamer Marion, which is non-existettt, Cedric Storm, aged 39. was to-day convicted of false pretences and sentenced to two years' imprisonment. Storm's offence consisted of presenting bogus cheques and pay orders to various firms in the city, pretending that he was employed on tho Marion. The police said t hat lie boasted of having "cleaned up"' a tidy sum in New Zealand and Australian ports.
