MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A mftetiag of the committee of the Sanatorium Service -Society was,held at St. Augustine's schoolroom yesterday afternoon. Present: . Mrs Winchester, Mrs A, E. Cooper, Miss 1.. Taylor, the Pev. Dr. Kennedy, the Rev. J. Lymburn, the Rev. Li C. Horwood, the Key,. A. H. Noms, Messrs A. T. Smith,and Mr p. W. Blathwayt. In the absence of the chairman of the committee,. .Mr P., H. Harris, Mr i.Norris ,to, the chair. , • Correspondence, was .received-from Harris, congratulating-the ladies. 011 the success of their, Christmas activities. TllO treasurer's statement received showing subscriptions and , donations, received since December Ist, 1931 -£36 14c : and payments £lB 15s Bd, ;;j Some small accounts were passed for payment. A letter was received from Mr B. Retalliek resigfcring the secretaryship;, it wa« resolved to thank Mr Retallick .for his services, and arrangements were, made for th» appointment of a.new secretary. It was resolved to appoint Mr Horwood convener of the Revenue Committee. The chairman stressed- the importance and urgent need of an after-care committee to deal with tlie; many cases of patients: discharged-fit from the Sana-, torium, who, maiiily through lack: or finance, became -victims- of worry ana physical strain, and were therefore m danger -of becoming tubercular ~pa.tieiits again. The: meeting agreed that public "interest needed-to be awakened to this subject in order that the Society njay tackle the problem successfully; Mrs A. E.
