PRIME MINISTER'S EYETROUBLE.
A SUCCESSFUL OPERATION. IBninsa oppiciai, wxngr-aas.) (Received February 4th, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, February 3. A bulletin to-night, issued by the oculist Mr D. Elder, and the physician, Sir Thomas Horder, states: The operation on the Primo Minister's eye was undertaken successfully at 6 p.nt to-night.
It is anticipated that Mr Mac Donald will remain in a nursing l>ome about ten days. He intends going to Geneva at the earliest possible moment. Mr MacDonala has received expressions of sympathy and good wishes from the King and Queen, and also from the German Chancellor (Dr. Bruening).
The trouble was diagnosed as glaucoma.
