—♦ WILDING SHIELD. CANTERBURY TEAM LEAVES. Cantcibury will meet Auckland in a Wilding Shield match at Auckland on Thursday and Friday, and the team ti represent the province, comprising C. Angas, H. A. Barnett, D. F. Glanville, and T. W. Patterson, left for tie north last evening. Previously it was thought that Can-' ternary, winners of the South Island frotip matches, would first play Wellington for the light to play Auckland, aoldm Of the shield, but the secretary ot the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association (Mr K. Browning) has been sdvised that the first match will be between Canterbury and Auckland. The winner of this match will play Wellington on Saturday and Monday.
