GAOL FOR ASSAULT.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGEAiI.) "WELLINGTON. December 24. Maurice O'Connor, described as a labourer and jockey, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment on charges of assault, and being idle and disorderly. The story told in Court was that he tried all day to get a man drunk, and ended up by taking the_ man up an alley way and assaulting him.
