♦—rPURCHASE BY BRITISH YACHTSMAN. (BBITISM OrMCIIX. WIBKLISS.) (Received December 23rd, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, December 22. Mr T. O. M. Sopwith, the well-known yachtsman, who has bought the late Sir Thomas Lipton's Shamrock V., which was built in 1930 as a challenger for the America Cup, will race her next season in British waters.
