RABBIT-BREEDING.
WORK FOR DISABLED SOLDIERS. The Canterbury Disabled Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment Committee is considering a scheme whereby men with a 50 per cent; disability, due to war service, can employ their SO per cent, of usefulness, and yesterday an inspection of two rabbit farms 'was made, the owners explaining to the committee the work entailed in conducting the farms. The members expressed themselves as favourably impressed with what they had seen at the farms of Mr J: H. Pratlev. Harewood road, and Mr W. G. Wright, Selwyn street. Angoras and Chinchillas were demonstrated, and the clipping of the wool, the preparing of Chinchilla pelts for the furrier, and the making of various articles of clothing; from Angora wool were explained. ' The committee will consider the matter again at its next meeting. Those who went on the tour were Messrs H. Holland, M.P. (chairman), W. E. Leadley (secretary), C. J. Ronaldson, and P. M. Robson.
