* REFUSE COLLECTION. The refuse collections which arc usually made on Fridays and Saturdays will this week and next week be made on Thursday and Monday respectively. Concert and Dance. The Gay Jolliboys Concert Party, of the motor-liner Jtangitata, many •or whom were formerly professional artists in London, will give a concert, to bo followed by a dance, in the Oddfellows' Hall to-night. Christmas Carols. The Lyttelton Methodist Choir will follow the usual custom of carolling on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The proceeds Will bo in aid of the choir funds and the Methodist Orphanage. Lyttelton Club. There was a large attendance of members of the Lyttelton Club at the Christmas flying-fifty billiards tournament on Monday night. No less t}j an ten trophies were presented by different members for the tournament, and the winners of the first three were: B. Davies 1, G. Smith 2, E. Muxlow 3. Harbour Light Theatre. "The Great Game," an exciting British football romance, which ends in a Cup Tie final, will be screened at the Harbour Light Theatre to-night and tomorrow afternoon and evening. There is a good supporting programme, including three cartoons. As a special treat for children, in connexion with the screening of "Krazy Kat's Birthday Party" cartoon, each child attending to-morrow's matinee will receive a piece of the big Krazy Kat birthday cake. On Christmaß Night "Journey's End," a British drama, will be screened. The usual prices will be charged, and the reserve plan is at King &nd Cousins today and at the theatre to-morrow.
