CUNARD LINER.
SHIPWRIGHTS RETAINED. PROTECTING THE HULL. (BRITISH WIRELESS.) (Received December 15tli, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, December 14. A hundred Clydeside shipwrights have been retained to keep in order the hull of the eiant Cunarder, pending the resumption of work upon her. Hopes are expressed that this may be possible within a few months. "The position is ii' t, so bad as it looks, and I hope f<ir some decision within a week," said Mr David Kirkwobd, M;P., after an hour's conference with tho authorities at Brown's shipyards in relation to tho suspension of work on the giant Cunard liner.
